Report from Milan -a special thanks to HotFudge

I was queuing since noon on 30th october with my sister and I managed to get in first row on the right side of the stage. That was the first time I was so close to the stage!
In between the songs Robbie was speaking some italian words. Actually he was reading them from the paper which was taped on the floor. He took it off and showed it to us. He said some phrases for example ‘I love you’, very good (when the crowd was singing loud).…
During Strong somebody from the audience threw a football on stage and Rob played around with it. Funnily enough every trick that he tried to do with the football failed and then after two or three trials he threw it back into the audience.
During Come undone he invited a girl on the stage. The girl was pretty shocked and after they danced and kissed she didn’t want to leave the stage and Rob had to help her find the way to her position in the public. That was quite funny. Before Supreme he said that he used to be in Take that band before and he started to sing ‘We’ve said goodbye the taxi cab is waiting ….’ The crowd joined immediately and since there wasn’t any musical accompaniment you could really hear the crowd. After we finished singing Rob said ‘This is so wrong, you are singing Take That song the loudest!!!’
During Me and My Monkey there was the same projection of the monkey on the screens like on the summer tour.
Before Mr. Bojangles he played a short song on the piano and we gave him a big applause. He also introduced Max to us and told us that he is sick today and we went ‘OOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh’ Then he dedicated Mr. Bojangles to his mum. He was trying to find her in the crowd. He asked Dave who was standing beside catwalk and taking pictures where she is but he said that he don’t know. Then Rob said to him that he should stop taking pictures and that he should know this things since he is his manager and that he is paid for knowing where his mother is.
He dedicated She’s The One to 19 year old couple. He said that he normally asks the couple to propose but since they were only 19 he wouldn’t ask them to do that. Then during She's The One there was also this girl on the phone, so Rob took her mobile phone on stage, looked on the display and saw that Roberta was on the phone, and he started to sing She's The One to her, I think he first said "Hi Roberta, this is Robbie Williams!" and then he started to sing to her, singing "Roberta is the one!" Then he gave the mobile back.
He sang Better Man and Nan’s Song alone without any help on the guitar. Before Nan’s Song he showed us his tattoo (B) behind his ear. He told us that this tattoo was for his nan and that he also wrote a song for her. Then he started to sing ‘She’s a Barbie girl…’
At one point when he was on the caltwak he also posed for pictures. I also managed to get a few of good ones. The higlight from this evening was Feel and Angels when the crowd joined in which gave me shivers.
Rob also said that the girls in Italy are the most beautiful and that he is staying at the Four Seasons Hotel. He invited all beautiful girls to his hotel to audition for the future Mrs. Williams which he is holding with his mother.
31st october 2003
We went to see the city and do some shopping before the gig and we were very impressed by this city even though it was raining the whole day. We also passed by four seasons hotel which was in the centre of the city and we saw around 30 fans standing in front of the hotel but there was no sign of Robbie there so we didn’t stop there. After spending almost all our money we decided to go to the Filaforum where the concert was.
I had a sitting tickets for gold tribune for this night which was on the opposite side of the stage. That was a bit to far for me that’s way I decided to go in the parterre in the standing area. In fact I managed to get quite close to the second barrier.
He said hello in italian like the first night. This time the Come Undone girl was quite brave. After they danced for a while they kissed for quite a long time. She also grabbed his ass the first second she came on the caltwalk He seem to be a bit dizzy after she finished. They take a bow and then she went in to the crowd again. During Supreme he took mobile phone from someone in the first row and sang in to the phone. He said ‘Hi this is Robbie Williams and this is my band!’ Then he sang almost the whole song into the phone.
At the end of the Me and my monkey he replaced lyrics and sang:
Got tickets to see Eros Ramazzotti The monkey was high
Said it was a burning ambition to see him before he died
We left before encores
He couldn’t sit still
Eros was a blast baby…
Then he tried to play the same short song as the first night before Mr. Bojangles but he totally fucked up this time. Well in spite of that we clapped. Then he introduced Max Beseely on the piano. He told us that Max is sick but he is so kind that he will performed in spite of that. Well after he didn’t managed to play that short song on the piano he asked Max if he can play Bumblebee flight for him. Firstly Max looked at him with a look ‘Are you mad?’ but then he went and played it. He managed to played it fantastic. We were all very impressed and he got big applause for that. He dedicated Mr. Bojangles to his mother again and She’s the one to a couple in the first row. The girl had the same maori tattoo on her arm like Rob and when he saw that he said to her ‘You know I have this tattoo on my arm too?’ and he showed his tattoo to her. He asked them if they have any kids. When they said no he told them to do one tonight and they nodded with their heads.
At one point he asked us how many of us were there a night before. When he heard quite a lot screems he started to sing Bohemian Rhapsody from Queen which he didn’t do a night before.
The highlights of the show for me were Feel, Kids, Rock DJ and Angels. I am still collecting all the memories. One thing is for sure I will go see him again in next year if the rumours about 2004 tour are true.
