France review -thanks to Jackie
The applause he received through out the gig was amazing.Robbie himself rubbed the back of his neck indicating goose bumps. He loved it, worked hard though as he usually does. Soaked in sweat so half way thru he took his white tie off and undid his buttons of his shirt, we did'nt mind. Looked pretty good...He was abit naughty, more than usual, swore quite a lot, I do not usually mind, infact I quite like it - it adds to the edge and excitement. But not too sure about some of the French people liking it. 'Feel' is the song that has made Robbie bigger in France - Robbie brought the house down with it. It was a great show a night I will always remember.

The audience starts to get hot and claims Robbie's name. A new sound starts and make the crowd move, it's the start of "Let Me entertain You", the classical music intro for most Robbie gigs. The fans start to jump at the rhythm music and Robbie appears.
Robbie has a very cool look, baggy pants , black docker and a white tie ! Amazing look.
Robbie presents himself and seems very happy to be here : "My name is robbie williams, this is the robbie williams band and we've come to FUCK ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!". Robbie try to make the crowd move "one hand in the air", "2 hand in the hair!!
No break between the 2 songs, Robbie plays "let love be your energy" .Then , he plays with the audience , he wants to crowd to repeat after him some strange words : "olé, olé, olé...". The audience is mad about him and says evevything he wants.
Rob try to say a few words in French and made an allusion to his new tatoo :"chacun à son gout"(wich doesn't mean nothing in french by the way !). A guy near to me says :é your fans want to see you naked !!!" , but Rob can't hear him , and there will be no strip-tease tonight.
3rd song of the gig from Escapology album : "This is a song called Monsoon !". A huge success, Robbie runs on stage and seems happy to be here. All fans sing the Moonsoon lyrics : "So put your hand across the water...."
Then , Robbie says a few words about the Escapology Tour : This tour starts here in Paris. Robbie says this Tour is starting very well, because the Paris is gig has a great audience. Rob asks if the fans have seen his performance , the day before at the "fete de la musique"." I was in the show at the Eiffel Tower last night, did anybody see it?" Robbie performance at the champ de Mars was really great , he interprated "come Undone" and there was a huge crowd to see him.
He started again the "come Undone" performance for us. And he wants the audience to repeat after him :

After Strong, Robbie ask the fans if they spend a nice gig, he wants the VIP to stand up because it's not opera :

Is there something up there so you can't stand up or is there some kind of???
cos you don't!! I would not mind if you were fucking standing up! I mean down here they're having a great time! I mean it's ok you can stay sat down but it's not the fucking Opera!!! (Rob sing 2 lines of opera !!!)

So all VIP stand up because of Robbie words , but they sat again after 2 minutes !!
"Actually, I don't need to alienate all of you! but heu, you can actually sit down cos this one's a ballad!! I picked the wrong song to do that speech! If you forget I've done that, then I'll do it next song!"
Me and My Monkey : This song wasn't in the tracking-list of the gig , but Rob insisted to do this song. He made a brillant interpretation , lyrics are difficult , but he did it so well. I think "Nan's song" was in the track-listing (because of Robbie guitar on the stage) , but this track was cancelled.
"...this is a song of the escapology album! i wasn't sure if I was gonna do it or not this tune! cos there's a lot of words in it and I forget all the words! but this is a song about a monkey friend of mine and a ganster on the loose!"
After "Me and my Monkey" , Rob evoked his past a little, joking about drugs and cigarettes. it 's bad for the health... "I don't really have a monkey! and anyway they don't take drugs! just mine!"
One of my favorite part of the show is Robbie interpretation of 2 songs from "Swing when you're winning"....with Max Beesley at the piano.
"...anyway, I want to introduce a friend of mine to you now, this is Max Beesley! do you think max is sexy tonight??
see here's what we do, me and maxi are friends for a long long time, since heu, about an hour ago.. you might see maxi in some film, Do I mention it?? NO! Ok I won't mention it! et il cri le nom du film! you should go and see it!
And I think we'll do this!" He starts to whistle the Mr Bojangles start , a terrible silence in the arena... Everybody enjoy this magic moment with Rob's fabulous voice . Rob can assure all music styles. A small break before the 2nd extract from "Swing...." : One For My Baby.
"....so me and maxi, we spent a lot of time together this year, about an hour! in los angeles we both split up from 2 very kind stripteasers! Now I Joke! BIG J, BIG J.. BIG JOKE but WE were broken-hearted!
we were, weren't we? we can laugh now!but at christmas our pelvis had only each other to console! (il fait le triste) tout le monde dit ohhhhh so we were satting there and the chef brought us drinks, it had lime, orange, banana, strawberries.... but I think it would have done better with just a touch of Kiwi!
anyway, we were chosing which song to sing and we are both single gentleman! trying to find ourselves a wife! did I say wife?? No we're not boring! we went to the "Maison blanche" last night and I got to say, we thought we had died and went to vagina heaven! the girls there were the most beautiful girls I have ever seen! just like the Girls in Paris! Thank you Paris!

Then , Robbie thanks us for acclamations we made for his vocal performance.

Rob starts with a great "Supreme" and he asked fans to sing it in french , but no one know the french lyrics, so Robbie keep going in english.

I've had very few french fans for a long time and then all of a sudden, I do a couple of TV shows and more people bought the records and I went from the ZENITH to the BERCY!!!!
Of course this is gonna be the best show here tonight!!!!

A very strong song , wich works very well with all fans who jumped during all the song. Robbie is very proud of the french fans and says we were the best crowd (of the tour) he ever had !

As always, the huge moment of the night, Angels. The crowd song for him the song that made Robbie a popstar. Robbie doesn't say nothing, he 'sjust smoking. A very special moment. Some fans open their lighter in the arena darkness...
"Thank you very much to everybody and when I'll come back in Bercy, I will speak more French You've only seen un peu tonight! When I'll come back next time I will be like "je suis très fatigué" ... THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT!
Robbie will be ready to speak more french in the POPB ( bercy) on 2 July in france > I will be here to tell you.
The Olympia hall show was a very brillant show ,almost 2 hours of Robbie 's magical power. A very nice performance for only one man , Robbie seemed to be closer to his audience et seems to be proud of French fans. He wanted to collect everyone glance but looking in their eyes.
Mister Robbie , accomplished mission . This show is unforgetable.
Robbie leaves us in a Mercedes van with black panes, a sad moment. Rob is tired and he did'nt made an autograph seance for his fans. This gig mixed a magic atmosphere , a Rob very heathly and lot of emotions.
Best moments : Swing's songs, angels et feel and some happy moments : Rock DJ , Moonsoon...
I hope we will see Robbie as great as at the Olympia In bercy On July , but it will be difficult to be close to him because the arena is so huge , that's why Olympia is magic and mythic.

Four days to Robbie -thanks to Jackie
IT'S just four days until Robbie lands in Scotland. And if his warm-up show in Paris at the weekend is anything to go by, Murrayfield will be rocking. The Entertainer said goodbye to his dinner-suited swing days with a blistering gig below the Eiffel Tower. As well as an amazing light and fire show, Robbie looked the part in a leather jacket.
But the old ham didn't come across as too tough at the Fete De La Musique - he even showed the audience his auto-cue to remind him of the lyrics to his songs.
Scots fans are sure to be delirious when he arrives in Edinburgh for Saturday and Sunday's gigs - and it looks like his French fans have also been entertained. As well as the outdoor gig, he played in an old Parisian music hall called Olympia as a warm up. French newspaper Le Monde said: "Between the songs Williams is both a nonplussed poser and a gentleman, carried away by the desire to do his best.
"He proudly showed off his platinum disc, testimony to more than 300,000 copies of Escapology sold in France."
So what songs do we have to look forward to - if he remembers the words?
Favourites such as Let Me Entertain You, Angels, Strong, No Regrets, Millennium, Rock The DJ and Kids, as well as new songs Feel, Come Undone and Me and My Monkey from Escapology all made up his set list. And he didn't forget the big band standards from Swing When You're Winning.With Kelly Osbourne supporting, Saturday and Sunday's shows look like eclipsing tonight's Eminem Hampden date as the gig of the year in Scotland.

Hello people who are only talking english, I m thinking about you now and you deserve to know how last night s gig was
Here We Go :
I came at 5 00 pm and it was really fine since i was near Rob and his musicians in the "most pit" (well at the 7th or 8th row i would say) . "L'Olympia" is an arena really well made, even at the end of the pit you can see the stage easily .
The mood was the one of an english soccer s stadium, everybody chanting "Robbie Robbie" and clapping simultaneously with the hands .
Finally at 8 45 pm he came !
And what an enter Ladies And Gentlemen !
"2001 s theme" was played and then.... LET MEEEEEEEEE ENTERTAIN YOU
The atmosphère was electric, Robbie was in a really GREAT Mood and it show : he talked a lot and joked about France, English People and even the poor Ronan Keating (he mocked him while singing a song of Ronan ).
Robbie is really one hell of an entertainer, there s few artists who really impressed me live (mainly Muse and Audioslave) and trust me, seeing The Robster s live is quite an unique experience .
He knows how to play with the crowd and fully interact with them .
Robbie was smiling a lot, he seems to be really in love with France and was really enjoying his time .
People in the crowd were really cool and nice, I wasn t hurted like I was two weeks ago for The Audioslave's gig (lots of pogos and slams) .
Last night, it was a REAL good crowd, clapping our hands, shaking our heads or jumping from high to low but not hurting anyone !
The most touching moment and one that really moved me then and afterwards was "Angels" .
Singing it alongside The Robster himself was a joy to hear for sure and something who really moved me .
He was deeply into it, opening his heart and soul to us and sharing this marvellous moment with us, making one together (him and the crowd)
This song made me realize while i m loving Angels and Spirituality so much and yes i m looking for loving An Angel Instead
I would like to finish this sentance with comments about the musicians .
They re all really nice and talented for sure !
I like the new guitarist (he has grey hair like the guy on my av ) : he really rocks and is fun to watch .
Yolande (bass player) is adorable and always smiling while playing .
Same for Claire (Keyboard and Acoustic Guitar) who is also cute and all smile . Oh and i don t forget this awesome drumm player, sending his stuff high in the air while playing (as usual ).
All in all it was a really unique gig, I guess it was my last chance for seeing Rob on a small arena instead of a huge stadium and my mind and heart are full of memories forever now
